As far as actually watering, though, you're better off doing it by hand. You could always use an automatic sprinkler, but that doesn't always work as well as just watering by hand. Another thing to remember is that if you're going to leave town for a while, you'll want to make sure that you rely on someone to help you with watering. Don't leave it up to your sprinklers.
